2019 Elk Merk Waardig Jubileum - Boxtel (NL)

In 1999 Hyundai introduced the first Equus, a large luxury car not unlike the Lexus LS400. It was based on the Mitsubishi Proudia and could be ordered with a 3.5 liter V6 or a 4.5 liter V8 engine. Also an extended wheelbase limousine was available.
A small number were exported to Europe and sold under the "Centennial" badge, as the Hyundai marque wasn't regarded as a premium brand. The Centennial remained practically unnoticed in Europe, but still a few were sold as this car proves.
