The wedge-shaped XT was the first Subaru model with other than utilitarian ambitions. It attempted to supply Subaru with a more sporty and youthful appeal, something that only truly succeeded with the Impreza WRX some 7 years later. Still, the unusually styled XT (called Alcyone in Japan) was built 98,918 times during its lifespan from 1985 till 1991 and the majority was sold outside Japan.
The car shown here is an original Dutch car in pristine condition with original paintwork and striping. It's powered by a turbo-charged flat 4-cylinder 1.8 liter engine producing 136 hp and driving all 4 wheels. Maybe not (yet) a true classic but rare to find.
