Neckar 1500 TS coupe by Siata 1966
2014 Dutch Chrysler USA Classic Cars Meeting - Amersfoort (NL)
The Fiat plant in Germany used to sell its products under the NSU-Fiat banner. After the NSU motorcycle works started offering cars as well the NSU-Fiat brand was gradually renamed into Neckar at the end of the 1950s. Not only did they assemble Fiat products, also a few derivatives were imported from Italy and offered under the Neckar brand. One of those was this Siata 1500 TS, a design by Giovanni Michelotti based on the Fiat 1500 platform.
The brand name Neckar lasted until 1969 and has slid into obscurity since then.
