Ferrari 400i convertible by Pavesi 1980
2015 InterClassics - Maastricht (NL)

This car is one of a series of twelve made by Carrozzeria Ernesto Pavesi from Milan, Italy. Maybe not a very well known name, yet the company operated from 1931 till the 1980s. The Pavesi family started making carriages as early as 1830.
It probably is the first 4-seater Ferrari convertible, I can't recall such a model before this one. The result however is not very elegant. It seems they had trouble finding a good way to store the bulk of the folded roof. The pillars surrounding the windshield have been strengthened to act as a roll over bar and protect the passengers if the car flips.
