This is the first model DeTomaso produced for normal road use. It was based on a simple backbone chassis fitted with a fiberglass body and powered by a 1.5 Litre 4-cylinder Ford engine. The Vallelunga suffered from drivetrain vibrations and wasn't very successful; only 50 were made with fiberglass bodies and an additional 8 prototypes and competition versions with aluminum bodies.
