This is the only Allard Palm Beach fitted with a Dodge Red Ram V8 engine by the factory. This classic Hemi V8 engine was introduced in 1953 and had a 241 cubic inch displacement (just under 4 Liters). For the 1954 model year it was rated at 150 hp in standard trim.
In many regards this car was a precursor to the far more famous AC Cobra, which appeared nearly a decade later.
