The Bentley Mk V can be regarded as the link between the "Derby Bentleys" from before the war and the later Bentleys built in Crewe. It was introduced just before war was declared in 1939 and only 11 were made.
It combined features of the preceding 4.25 liter model (like its engine) and that of the post-war Mk VI. Unlike the all steel Mk VI this was a traditional chassis only with bodywork made to order type car.
